Total Glass and Glazing Safety and Security Solutions

Our Anchoring Solutions range was initially designed and developed to provide enhanced protection against forced-entry intruder attack, smash and grab and ram raiding for a major british multinational retailer and their high-street stores. From this, we have designed, developed and tested an extensive range of anchoring options for all types of glazing systems which when utilised with high-tensile strength window films to provide enhanced protection and containment with a core anchoring range that includes:

Filmtek Flexible Edge-Retention Profiles

  • Designed for internal installation on aluminium and vinyl surfaces, installed to the surface of installed glass containment safety security film and to the framing system.
  • Available in an extremely versatile range of sizes, the Filmtek range of Flexible Edge-Retention Profiles are ideal for adapting to virtually any type of window frame profile.
  • Unobtrusive, yet hugely effective because of the single extrusion method in manufacturing.
  • Made from high engineered, weatherproof and UV stable material of medium hardness, for use in demanding applications, the Filmtek Flexible Edge-Retention profiles possess exceptional tensile strength, superior compression, chemical resistance and high temperature performance.
Available test reports and accompanying videos (including client and project specific testing):

FT800 high-tensile strength clear film + 4 x sided Flexible Edge-Retention Anchoring profile.
Filmtek Rigid Edge-Retention Profiles

  • Designed to match the finish of metal framed windows and doors this profile is available in different shapes and sizes and can be custom made to suit.
  • Available in standard colour finishes to match existing frames
  • Installed with one edge to the filmed glass and the other to the frame to form a bonding system between all.
  • Can be mechanically fixed or bonded utilising a VHB tape fixing. The VHB aggressive adhesive tape is installed at time of manufacture by way of a heat application process to create a strong physical bond between the tape and the extruded profile.

Filmtek Bolted Anchoring Systems

  • A tried and tested proven to protect solution for all types of bolted glass structures and assemblies including bolted glass façade, curtain wall structures, balcony and balustrade bolted glazing as well as frameless glazing to commercial, retail and other buildings.
  • Available for all types and sizes of bolted ‘planar’ profiles and can be custom made to suit.
  • Ideal for bolted glazing at height or in the overhead position as a containment and health and safety solution to unpredictable, spontaneous glass failure whether due to nickel-sulphide inclusions within toughened glass or unforeseen edge damage within laminate glass, glass containment in situ until safe to remove and replace is vital and in fact possible with all of our Anchoring Solutions range.
